    Roundtable hosted at the Royal Society for MPs, Lords and Senior Government:

     

    Organised a high-profile parliamentary workshop at the Royal Society for MPs, Lords, and senior government officials, with policy partners The UK Parliament Office for Science and Technology and the Behavioural Insights Team to discuss policy implications of my PhD research. The workshop was titled “Behavioural Tools to Accurately Assess Public Support for Climate Policies: From Spiral of Silence to Evidence-based Climate Leadership”

    The UK Minister of State for Energy cited our study in a Parliament House of Commons session 

    The study I led on UK MPs perception gaps was mentioned by the Minister of State for Energy in Parliament as evidence that the public is more supportive of climate action than many politicians assume. The moment was captured on Parliament Tv and can be accessed clicking here.

    Talk in UK Parliament:

    the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Anti-Corruption and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Sustainable Finance invited me to deliver a presentation in Westminster Parliament during a roundtable looking at how policy-makers can be influenced by non-representative voices of public opinion, driven by imbalanced lobbying and biased information environments.

    Delivered a keynote talk to the UK Parliament Climate Hub presening my research on social norm mispercepions:

    Invited by the University of Copenhagen to advise on a large international project replicating my research with Danish Members of Parliament

    A presentation of our study of UK MPs misperceptions for an audience of Danish policy fellows inspired the launch of a new project replicating my PhD research in Denmark.

    Invited Keynote address to senior policy-makers from Denmark about which behavioural interventions and narratives can best improve climate policy support.

    Contributed to the Parliament Select Committee for Net Zero Evidence Inquiry call on Building support for the

    green transition available here the Parliament Website.

    This evidence contribution included behavioural insights that can help promote climate measures in the public, and research findings from my PhD about the perceptual biases that can lead leaders to misperceive public opinion around environmental issues.
